We can only make an estimation of how many children are living on the streets of La Paz. There are about 4.000. These children live alone or in groups, near parks, big squares, by rivers, in derelict buildings or in cemeteries. Most of them are criminals or hire themselves out as shoe- boys or porters. Their earnings are not enough to live and their escape to drugs or alcohol is unavoidable. These children are the rejects of a society that cannot cope with its own problems. These children do not stand a chance!

The helpers of “Soforthilfe La Paz” are trying to bring God´s love to these degraded, unloved children and adults. They go to the places where these children and adults can be met, share the Gospel, deistribute some food and build relationships. They come with God´s love. The love of God can open the hearts of these people and make room for a new life with Jesus.
